Pokédex 3D App Launching With 3DS eShop

Nintendo is really starting to push their 3DS and its SpotPass and StreetPass features. Yet, another free game/application will be coming the day of the launch of the eShop.

Pokédex 3D is a free application that allows users to look up information on over 150 Pokémon (including those from Black and White) as well as their moves and abilities. SpotPass will allow Pokémaniacs to download 3 random Pokémon per day. Users can also download Pokémon by scanning QR codes and trading with friends via StreetPass and manually in person. All gamers start off with 16 random Pokémon in their Pokédex.

Pokémon can be viewed in 3D and can even be rotated and viewed from any angle. On top of this, there is an AR mode which allows you to view the Pokémon as if they were in the real world. Once brought into the real world, players can take 3D pictures of them with their 3DS.

Users will obviously be able to view all the Pokémon in 3D, but can also rotate them a full 360 degrees. You can also filter out Pokémon and bookmark them.

The AR mode will allow you to bring the Pokémon into the real world and allow you to take pictures of them with the 3DS camera!

I’ve never been too into Pokemon, but I have definitely recognized the great gameplay and mechanics. This may just be something that can help get gamers in the same boat as me, more into Pokémon. Pokémaniacs will love it either way. Images below.
